About the University of Nis in Serbia

The Faculty of Medicine in Niš offers a very comprehensive and in-depth medical and clinical degrees. The graduates of the Faculty are well recognized and respected all over the world and a large number of them are working today as doctors in the most developed health care systems in Europe and in the USA. Our brand new clinical centre opened in December 2017 and is considered to be the most advanced in the country and in the region offering a wide range of facilities and cutting-edge technologies for diagnostics, imaging and treatment. Niš is a beautiful historic city dating back from Roman times with 400 000 inhabitants. It has an international airport, multicultural community and a vibrant social life and is an enjoyable destination to have a good work-life balance during a demanding medical degree. What we offer

We offer the following degree in English language:

Integrated Medical Degree (MD)

  • Integrated 1st and 2nd level study – 360 ECTS leading to an MD degree (Doctor of Medicine)

It is a six-year course, 1't plus 2"d level accredited studies of medicine, upon completion of which the title Doctor of Medicine is awarded and graduates have direct access to doctoral studies (PhD) in medical science, specialty training in a wide range of clinical medical fields or employment as primary care (general practice) physicians.

Accreditation

By graduating from the medical faculty at the University of Nis, you earn worldwide recognition of the degree and the choice to continue your studies or start practicing anywhere.

 

The University has the highest recognition status of H+, which means that it's recognised in Germany.

This school is recognised by the World Health Organisation and is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. Moreover, the medical curriculum meets all the international, European, and GMC standards for proper education.
